QUERIES (STAFF ISSUES)

Query: Staff Receiving Tips From Patients 

It has been brought to my attention that, on occasion, our staff may receive a cash tip from a patient. Typically, this happens more often closer to the holiday season, but on rare occasions, following routine foot care visits. Something strikes me as wrong about taking cash from a patient. But when asked how is this different than receiving a $10 box of chocolate, or a Starbucks gift certificate, I didn’t have a quick answer. Please share your policies in this regard.
